LeBron fires back on Instagram after Laura Ingraham tells him to ‘Shut up’

Outrageous
Image: jason miller/Getty ImagesAs America veers toward a Constitutional crisis, Fox News host Laura Ingraham is placing the blame not on Donald Trump but on ... LeBron James? On Thursday, Ingraham dedicated a whole segment of her show to James, enjoining the player to "shut up and dribble" on the grounds that he wasn't "educated" enough to speak about politics. Last night, LeBron finally responded on Instagram with a pithy and forceful photo. When Hurricane Harvey struck southeast Texas in August 2017, it left the area underwater, and many residents found themselves completely devastated. Image by South Carolina National Guard/Wikimedia Commons. They'd lost their homes, their towns, and their sense of safety. But even after all that pain, there was one thing that Houston residents could still come together and root for: the Houston Astros. The baseball team, which had never won a World Series, was having an incredible season. It seemed like they might have a shot at going all the way. On the day Harvey hit, the team was already leading their division by 12 games. After the storm, they team played on, even hotter than they had been before. They finished the regular season 21 games ahead of division's second-place team, t...

Ive Been Eating Thousands Of Cicadas Just In Case Thats The Requirement For Getting A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame: 5 Questions With Daniel Kaluuya

Outrageous
Daniel Kaluuya is taking Hollywood by storm. His performance in the horror hit ‘Get Out’ earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, and his appearance in ‘Black Panther’ is earning rave reviews. We sat down with the talented young actor to ask him a few questions about his life and career. 1. Do you prefer doing film or stage work? I love both, but I prefer being interviewed on the local news about gas prices. Giving my two cents on the fluctuating prices of oil is as good as it gets. 2. You work a lot in horror and superhero films. Were you a fan of these genres growing up?The only film genre I was a fan of growing up was werewolf movies where the werewolf gets cured of being a werewolf in the first scene and then spends the rest of the film apologiz...

We're making memes smarter. So can you. Visit the Photoplasty and Pictofacts Workshop to get started. We've all got movies that are our sentimental favorites. We'll watch them time and time again, no matter how many times we've seen them (or how recently). Which makes it all the more inexplicable when it turns out those movies have weirdly dark moments that we turn a blind eye to, literally every time. Standing in a kitchen in San Francisco, in a state where foie gras is illegal, Josh Tetrick cuts into the pale gray pate anyway and smears it on a thin piece of bread. “You prettied it up a little bit,” he says to a bearded chef, pointing his butter knife at the plate, “what’s going on here?”“Little carrot and vanilla puree,” says the cook. “Little beet, little bit of a splatter there to mimic the atrocity that we’re taking away.”Tetrick chews on the delicacy. “Even though I’m not a foie expert,” he says, “I’ve been eating a little bit more foie outside the state of California for the past handful of months, and it tastes like foie should.”It tastes like foie gras should because you could make t...

Jimmy Kimmel’s emotional monologue on gun violence is a must-watch.

Outrageous
After the October 2017 shooting in Las Vegas that left concertgoers dead, Jimmy Kimmel devoted his monologue to the topic of gun violence. After this week's massacre in Parkland, Florida, he did it again. The first time around, Kimmel peppered his monologue with stats, ideas, and arguments — almost all of which could be recycled for our current response — but this time, he decided to take a simpler approach, asking simply that lawmakers do "something." For many members of Congress, that may still be asking for too much. He opened his Feb. 14 monologue with a nod to Trump's response to the shooting — not so much what Trump said, but what he didn't say. Trump's live address to the nation on Feb. 15 was widely panned for its lack of any substantial policy suggestions. In ...

Trump misses the mark on his gun response, and we deserve better.

Outrageous
On Feb. 14, a former student walked into Parkland, Florida's Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where he shot and killed 17 people. It was the 18th school shooting in this year's first 45 days. Like a number of other recent shootings, the gunman used a highly customizable AR-15 semi-automatic rifle. Like many more, the shooter had a history of domestic violence. In an interview with the Daily Beast, classmates of the suspect, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, described him as “creepy and weird" and an "outcast" known for spreading anti-Muslim hate and wearing President Trump's ubiquitous "Make America Great Again" hat.
